My wife is reading your message over my shoulder and she’s nodding rigorously at everything you just said.
You can do a few other things to keep your home safer and make it less of a target. For example, you can draw the blinds or curtains. This will stop burglars from creeping up and prying. Some of these burglars will get close to a window just so that they can look in. They aren’t really going to do anything. They are just studying, observing, calculating and scheming. Don’t give them this opportunity!
Keep curtains closed so the bad guys will go elsewhere. It’s a simple activity that does not take any time or effort.
I don’t understand why so many people are afraid of marketing! It’s really all about figuring out the value of your product, determining who your ideal customers are, and finding ways to reach out to them.
If you would like some interesting reading material, this should help you get started: What is marketing?
Of course there are many many more interesting articles you can read online, and even many books on the topic. I hope that helps!
Calling plumbers to install a sump pump and backwater valve is great, but there are also small things you can do to make things better.
For example, when you shovel snow in the winter, be sure to shovel it away from your house instead of making a big pile against the wall. You should also look around your house and make sure there aren’t any cracks in your foundation. If you see cracks, have them repaired as soon as possible.
You should also check your gutters and have them cleaned regularly, because if they are blocked, rainwater will drip directly against the foundation of your house and then, it could easily enter your basement. So keep your rain gutters clean, and make sure your downspouts are in good condition as well. Try to extend them so they send the rainwater away from your house. This should help!
It seems like school is the biggest concern for you. In that case, I’d suggest you begin your search by looking for the best schools and then trying to find a property nearby that area. Trust me, you don’t want to buy a place and then end up having to travel forever just to drop off and pick up your kids each day!
My friend used to work for Broad Reach Communications, and he loved his job. Public Relations firms are all about improving your marketing operations, strengthening your brand, and helping you share your story.
Of course, they are there for you when something goes wrong, because they offer crisis management services to help you resolve any kind of unpleasant situation you could find yourself in.
You mentioned that your business was not going as well as you expected, so maybe a PR firm could help you find new ways to reach out to your customers and to attract new ones. I think it’s worth a try.
I’m not too sure how to make a business plan, but I’ll research it. Thank you!
Oh, and #6, I never thought about getting an Etsy shop, I’ll talk about it to Anna. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!
It’s true that we’ll need a good business name… We’ll need a few more brainstorming sessions, I think!
That’s right, that’s the plan for now. Maybe we’ll try to find some nice shops that would like to sell a few for us, but for now we’re thinking of setting up an online store. I think my son will be able to help with that part.
